Slow-Cooker Balsamic Chicken

Let’s face it, chicken breast is the oxygen of our lives. It’s boring but we need it to keep functioning. Luckily, unlike oxygen, we don’t have to live with the blandness. Enter this slow cooked balsamic chicken recipe. Throwing this well-spiced breast in the slow cooker and letting it do its thing will ensure tenderness and extreme flavor. Now your post-workout essential will be a go-to treat.

                                <li>1/2 cup  balsamic vinegar</li>
                                            <li>1/2 cup reduced-sodium chicken broth</li>
                                            <li>1/4 cup cornstarch</li>
                                            <li>3 garlic cloves</li>
                                            <li>4 bone-in skin-on chicken breasts (about 1 1/2 lbs)</li>
                                            <li>1/2 tsp dried Italian seasoning</li>
                                            <li>1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)</li>
                                            <li>1/2 tsp salt</li>
                                            <li> freshly ground black pepper, to taste</li>
                            </ul>

    <h2 class="block-title"><span>Directions</span></h2>

                            <li>In a small bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, chicken broth, cornstarch, and garlic; set aside.</li>
                                    <li>Season chicken with Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. </li>
                                    <li>Place chicken in a 6-quart slow cooker. Pour balsamic vinegar mixture over chicken. </li>
                                    <li>Cover and cook on high setting for 3 to 4 hours, until chicken is cooked through and no longer pink in the center when sliced. </li>
